Riding horses is fun! Whether it's in a show or for practice, learning a new skill or working with a new horse, ambling along a trail or going full-tilt through the barrels, riding is a total pleasure. The horse, the smell of the leather, the enjoyment of nature - all are elements of the joy we get from being riders. This pleasure is often enhanced and extended by sharing these pleasure with others who also find them to be a desirable part of their lives. These shared delights are part of why you see so many events and gatherings among those who ride. The Eagle Point Park Equestrian Center in Clinton is a nice facility easily accessible from western Illinois and eastern Iowa. It has a very nice ring where the Clinton Horsemen's Club holds events in the spring, summer and fall. The Fun Shows and the Speed Shows are well-organized, and attract a number of participants and visitors. Parking is spacious, the food delicious, and the crowd is a delight! |
